Hi, my name is Bartłomiej Rodek and SilesianTriassic.com is a catalog of my collection of Triassic fossils from Upper Silesia, primarily from Middle Triassic marine sediments. Specimen identifications are my (amateur) interpretations, sometimes supported by informal consultations – please keep this in mind when browsing the collection.

The Triassic is the oldest period of the Mesozoic Era – a time when reptiles dominated Earth. It lasted approximately 252 to 201 million years ago and occurred immediately after the greatest ecological catastrophe to hit our planet – the Permian-Triassic extinction event.
